Since beginning teaching in 2017 Tom has become an increasingly busy piano, music theory and music production teacher in his local area of Guildford, Godalming and other surrounding areas. Tom also enjoys teaching the students of Cobham Free School four days a week.
Tom's primary belief is that piano should be fun, not a chore and works hard with his piano students to find what will work best for them on their journey to becoming a better pianist. Throughout the lessons, Tom works with students to develop a greater understanding of music theory and rhythm as well as undertanding the notes on the page, and at the same time attempts to make his lessons enjoyable, interesting and delivered in a modern way that students can relate to and understand easily.
Depending on the students requirements, Tom teaches a combination of contemporary genres as well as more traditional Grade routes working from both ABRSM and Trinity exam boards.
Tom mostly teaches at students houses and since moving to Godalming has started to teach a few students in his new local area.
